Brake dust is mostly iron and other particles that come from the grinding of brake pads against the rotor. Most brake pads are semi-metallic so when it is pressed against iron rotors it scratches it and releases brake dust that can be difficult to remove from your wheels.

We use premium wheel cleaners that are highly effective, acid-free and pH balanced which are safe for all wheels, including aluminum and alloys. This formulation is also effective and safe for use on painted wheels and will not deteriorate clear coats.
